Social Impact

OBXtek Charitable Foundation

Veterans and Education

OBXtek was founded as a service-disabled veteran owned small business. As a veteran-owned company, we believe strongly in supporting disabled veterans and the broader service community through targeted giving, scholarship, and employment opportunities.

Since our founding, all the organizations we have volunteered with or donated to have been suggestions from our employees. Because of these recommendations, we have worked with so many remarkable organizations, such as Semper K9 Assistance Dogs, Kina’ole Foundation, and Serve Our Willing Warriors.

The OBXtek Charitable Foundation was established to provide a structure to positively address social issues and make an even greater impact on our communities.

Our Communities

Community has always been a core value of OBXtek, and we are passionate about serving the communities where we live and work. Our goal is to give back and engage our employees in building more sustainable communities.

OBXtek has supported and donated to the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, Equal Justice Initiative, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the USO, and Capital Area Food Bank.

Sustainability Environment Earth

We are committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution, and continual improvement. OBXtek is certified in the 14001:2015, which is an Environment Management System (EMS) standard that makes use of best practices for organizing and applying information about environmental management. Through our ISO Environment Management System, we’ve made many changes at our headquarters to reduce our environmental impact. Our changes include switching to reusable coffee mugs and drinkware. We switched our coffee machine to one that does not use individual disposable K-cups, and we are committed to reducing the number of papers printed.
