OBXtek awarded contract with AFSOC supporting 492 Special Operation Wing
McLean, VA, April 5, 2022 – OBXtek Inc. was awarded a contract with the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) supporting the 492 Special Operation Wing (SOW).
“We are pleased to provide mission critical aircrew training for AFSOC which complements our current Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) / Small Unmanned Aerial System (SUAS) effort. This contract builds on our track record of success with the Air Force and AFSOC,” said Mike McKinney, OBXtek chief operating officer. “This award demonstrates the Air Force’s continued confidence in OBXtek’s expertise in training operations.”
OBXtek will provide instructor support for 492 SOW training operations, including fixed wing aircrew instruction, fixed wing flight instruction, remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), aircrew instruction, fixed wing simulator instruction, and weapon system leads for specific mission design series (MDS) aircraft or location.
