OBXtek awarded contract with Air Force Medical Support Agency
Tysons Corner, VA, April 2, 2019 – OBXtek Inc. was awarded a contract with the Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA). The five-year, firm fixed price contract was awarded through the OASIS SB contract vehicle.
OBXtek provides program management support to the Air Force Surgeon General’s Chief Information Management Office on telehealth initiatives covering numerous clinical specialties in locations around the world. The resulting telemedicine capabilities allow real-time access to specialty consultations using video teleconferencing technology.
AFMSA has made significant contributions to providing specialists access to diagnostic images anytime and anywhere, giving providers the ability to consult on complex cases regardless of location. Their ongoing support for these capabilities continues to make vast improvements in healthcare for our service members by improving access to care between medical treatment facilities, from the home and from the battlefield.
