OBXtek promotes Tim Pleus to Chief Growth Officer
McLean, VA, July 16, 2020 – OBXtek Inc. announced that Tim Pleus has been promoted to Chief Growth Officer (CGO). As OBXtek’s first CGO, Mr. Pleus will oversee and manage the company’s revenue growth and business development, as well as set the company's growth strategies. The move comes amid OBXtek’s renewed focus and commitment to growth in the full and open market.
"I'm honored to have been appointed OBXtek's first Chief Growth Officer," said Tim Pleus. "My commitment to growth is stronger than ever. I look forward to increasing our federal footprint, building on our brand awareness, expanding our capabilities while supporting our people and our clients, and driving our next phase of growth."
Mr. Pleus started at OBXtek over eight years ago as a project manager, quickly moving into a business development role where he led efforts to win contracts with new customers like the U.S. Marine Corps, Naval Academy, Peace Corps, multiple contracts with Homeland Security and Treasury, and increased OBXtek’s presence with the USDA, Air Force, GSA, and Department of Transportation. He also has worked to establish a cadre of contract vehicles, both prime and sub, to increase the firm’s access to potential work. In 2018, Mr. Pleus was promoted to Senior Vice President where he oversaw the business development department.
“Tim has a deep understanding of the government contractor landscape and has demonstrated clear results in leading growth,” said Dale Spencer, OBXtek president and chief executive officer. “I look forward to all that is ahead and what we will accomplish together.”
