OBXtek to support the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition
Tysons Corner, VA, July 23, 2018– OBXtek was awarded a $120 million U.S. Air Force contract providing Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support (STAQSS) to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ).
The SAF/AQ oversees the research, development, test and evaluation, and procurement of major Air Force platforms and systems across the full breadth of air and space capabilities.
OBXtek personnel will support SAF/AQ acquisition and sustainment efforts by providing administrative and subject matter expertise to support the SAF/AQ mission according to Dale Spencer, OBXtek President and Chief Operating Officer. .
“OBXtek will provide personnel with specialized expertise to support SAF/AQ in delivering effective and efficient mission execution and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence.” Spencer said. “With this award of our fifth Air Force contract, we are proud to continue to deliver services that support the Air Force mission.”
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics oversees Air Force research, development, acquisition and program sustainment activities, totaling an annual budget of more than $40 billion for more than 465 acquisition programs.
